Every Simulacrum in Tower of Fantasy has an advancement system beyond upgrading their weapon. It’s called Awakening, and to progress it, you need to give each Simulacra a particular type of Gift, of which there are several dozen. The best present for each Simulacra depends on their personality, likes, and dislikes, but you can progress their Awakening with each you give them, you just won’t get as much progress with items they don’t want.
After you acquire a gift, you’ll notice it has two or three Tags describing its features. Two of these determine how much each Simulacra will like the gift and thus, how many Awakening Points it will provide. Getting to the first Simulacra Trait requires 1,200 Points, meaning you’ll be giving a lot of gifts.
Presents themselves come in three varieties: Special, Fine, and Small. Special and Fine come from Special and Fine Gift boxes, which you can buy in the Crystal Dust or Points Stores. The small variety is purchasable from Item vendors in towns around the world.
If you give a Gift with all three tags matching a Simulacrum’s preferences, you'll receive 80 Awakening points.
These combinations provide 60 Awakening Points, so while they don’t bestow as many immediate rewards, they are spread across far more characters. You’ll be able to focus on different characters much more easily. Each Fine version costs 60 Crystal Dust or 240 Training Points.
These combinations provide 30 Awakening Points, so while they don’t reach the absolute heights of the previous group, if you’re running low on Training Points or Crystal Dust, you can still do a little progressing.
You might not make much Awakening progress with these presents, as they give a maximum of 15 Awakening Points, but they’re the only ones you can buy for Gold rather than other, harder-to-come-by currencies.
