Professional Tool Reviews for Pros
The ToughBuilt QuickSet workbench gives a fresh look to jobsite setup. Videos we’ve seen make it look awfully appealing, but is it just marketing hype? We put it to use in our shop to find out.
This portable work bench is a sturdy work surface that sets up in a matter of seconds. Just push the leg release button and pull up on the handle to fold out the legs. The table weighs 32 pounds, so it’s not as light as throwing out the Bora Centipede frame, but it’s also not an overbearing amount of weight.
Its sturdy metal legs are capable of supporting up to 1,000 pounds and the 24 x 33.5-inch work surface is great for a wide range of applications. The top includes dog holes and cutouts that are great for use with clamps while drilling or cutting materials.
Another benefit this table offers is compatibility with ToughBuilt’s line of ClipTech pouches. The table comes standard with one connection that can be moved to any of the four corners so you can organize your tools efficiently. Grab a 3-pack of ClipTech hubs ($5.98) and have a clip ready to go on all four corners.
ToughBuilt designed this bench with a SmartSurface Reference Guide that is stamped into the tabletop. This guide includes a 32-inch ruler on one side as well as an 80-centimeter on the other. Additionally, there’s a set of stamped protractors that help with a variety of measurements and layouts.
This ToughBuilt work bench retails for $99 at your local Lowe’s and comes with a limited lifetime warranty so be sure to register it with ToughBuilt.
It’s not every day that we come across a product that genuinely makes us go “wow”, but the ToughBuilt QuickSet Work Bench did. In our opinion, this is one of the coolest and most convenient portable work tables to ever come through our shop. We really love how compact and how easy it is to set up and break down. Plus, the price tag is pretty advantageous for both DIYers as well as value-minded Pros.
