Cocoa High School's football team was surprised with a huge upgrade to one of its facilities on Wednesday morning.
Academy Sports + Outdoors worked with CAP Barbell to donate new and improved equipment for the Tigers' weight room.
More than nine tons of equipment was donated, including dumbbells, kettlebells, and benches.
"Its just awesome. Our weight room was one of the things that was really holding us back, and we didn't have the facilities we need to hold a safe workout," Cocoa head coach Ryan Schneider said. "Now we have the opportunity to have a place where we can have a proper workout that can get our kids ready for the next level."

ESPN's Marty Smith was at the school with representatives from Academy Sports + Outdoors to present the new weight room donations and spoke briefly with the team.
Along with receiving new workout material, the weight room also had three murals painted on the walls by Viera High School graduate Jesse Travis.
"I really enjoy working with the school system, because I would love to inspire some other kids," Travis said. "It was totally awesome. Their reaction was priceless, and it really shows what some hard work can do when it pays off."
The new weight room provides the Tigers with not only better equipment but also the opportunity to continue to improve as a program.
Schneider said this new upgrade sends a great message to the team about hard work.
"It shows our kids that if you keep working hard, keep doing things the right way, good things will happen and its just great that we're in the situation we're in right now," Schneider said.
